We have known Margery and Ron for so many years that we can hardly count them (50+).
We went to their wedding and well remember a canal holiday with them both in the early years. Ron, in his usual organised fashion, kept a 'ship's log' of our journey and presented us with a duplicate copy at the end of our voyage.
Our children and now grandchildren have shared many celebrations together and Ron always made them lots of fun.
Since his retirement Ron discovered his green fingers and volunteered at RHS Hyde Hall and at our local country park - many a bramble has been hard pruned by him. Recently we transplanted some rescued wild orchids so we and future generations will thank him when they bloom in June - an ideal way to remember a dear friend taken too soon.
